NOTICE OF EVIDENTIARY HEARINGS

The Delaware Public Service Commission (the “Commission”) will conduct an evidentiary hearing concerning the above-referenced application (as further described below) at the following date/time and location:

ENVIRONMENTAL RIDER RATE TO BE
EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 1, 2023

NOTICE OF EVIDENTIARY HEARINGS
TO: ALL NATURAL GAS CUSTOMERS OF CHESAPEAKE UTILITIES CORPORATION AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS
On November 1, 2023, Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (“Chesapeake” or the “Company”) filed an application (the “Application”) with the Delaware Public Service Commission (the “Commission”) seeking approval to increase its Environmental Rider (“ER”) rate from $0.0009 per Ccf to $0.0011 per Ccf under the process approved in PSC Order No. 4104 (December 19, 1995) in Docket No. 95-73. The rate will be effective with usage on and after December 1, 2023, with proration, subject to modification and refund after an evidentiary hearing. For a typical residential heating customer using 120 Ccf of gas per month, the proposed ER rate will increase approximately 0.013%, adding $0.02 to their total bill. The Commission has approved the proposed rates to become effective with usage on and after December 1, 2023, with proration, subject to modification and refund after an evidentiary hearing.
