Dover, Delaware — Chesapeake Utilities announced today that it will host an Open House at Seaford High School to demonstrate how the school’s new Combined Heat and Power (“CHP”) unit works. Seaford High School has earned the distinction of becoming the first non-utility facility of any kind in the State of Delaware with an operating gas-fired cogeneration system. Chesapeake Utilities partnered with the school on the installation of the project.

Dover, Delaware — Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE: CPK) (“Chesapeake”) announced today that it will donate $50,000 over the next five years to support the construction of the Greater Dover Boys & Girls Club’s new facility on New Burton Road in Dover, Delaware. The new 75,000 sq.ft. multi-use facility being built in partnership with Kent County will include a 1,500 sq. ft. learning center with a computer lab, teen room, classrooms and several multi-purpose program rooms. 30,000 sq. ft. of the new facility will be dedicated to Boys & Girls Club programs. The shared facility will also have a field house with four multi-purpose areas, two full-size basketball courts, an outdoor recreational area, and much, much more for club members to access.

Based in Salisbury, Maryland, Austin Cox provides HVAC, plumbing and electrical services to residential and commercial customers throughout the lower Delmarva Peninsula. The Company will retain its name and office location in Salisbury, Maryland and Austin “Skip” Cox, Jr. will be President of Chesapeake’s newest subsidiary.

Chesapeake’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, Sandpiper Energy, Inc. and Sharpgas, Inc., acquired and will operate the ESG and ESP assets, respectively.

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (NYSE: CPK) announced today that it is exploring natural gas service to Worcester County, Maryland as a result of increasing community interest. “The people of Worcester County are asking for clean burning natural gas now because of its cost relative to alternative fuels, as well as its environmentally friendly features,” said Stephen C. Thompson, Senior Vice President of Chesapeake. “We are currently assessing the economic viability of expanding our pipeline and distribution infrastructures. If deemed economically viable and pending any required regulatory approvals and franchise agreements, natural gas could be available in northern Worcester County by the end of 2011,” Mr. Thompson added.

Chesapeake Utilities today announced the signing of an agreement with Dogfish Head of Delaware to provide natural gas service to their Milton, Delaware brewery. Dogfish Head is one of the largest craft breweries in the Mid-Atlantic and now a Sussex County tourist attraction.

Chesapeake Utilities today announced the signing of an agreement with Allen Family Foods, Inc. of Delaware to provide natural gas service to their Harbeson, Delaware processing plant as well as completion of the required facilities. Upon construction of the facilities, natural gas service was initiated.

On September 16, 2010, Jeffrey R. Tietbohl, Vice President of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation, was appointed President of the Maryland-District of Columbia Utilities Association (Association) during its 86th Annual Fall Conference in Cambridge, Maryland. The Association’s members primarily include representatives from the region’s natural gas, electric, telecommunications, water and sanitary utilities. Mr. Tietbohl is the first Chesapeake executive to hold this position within the Association.

Chesapeake Utilities today announced the introduction of natural gas to Georgetown, Delaware. A ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this afternoon on the Owens Campus of Delaware Technical & Community College (Delaware Tech) celebrated the much anticipated arrival of natural gas in the Georgetown area. Delaware Tech is Chesapeake Utilities’ first customer in this town and the immediate surrounding area.
